In addition to the standard Dual and Split playing modes, the new Rhythm Section feature provides professionally arranged backing accompaniments to support a range of musical genres.

The new responsive hammer action recreates the distinctive touch of an acoustic grand piano, with its realistic movement and rigid, springless design providing a smooth, natural, piano playing experience. The let-off simulation recreates the subtle ‘notch’ sensation felt when softly playing the keys of a grand piano, satisfying the expectations of the most discerning pianists. 

SONG RECORDER, USB CAPABLITIES
The CN43 adopts premium USB Audio capabilities from Kawai’s leading oncert Artist and MP Stage Piano ranges. This handy feature allows MP3 and WAV files stored on USB memory to be played back through the instrument’s powerful speaker system or for digital audio files to be easily recorded without additional equipment.

All three CN series models feature song recorder capabilities that both enhance one’s playing enjoyment and can also assist piano study.

PLAYING MODES, RHYTHM AND ACCOMPANIMENT STYLES
Thee Dual and Four Hands playing modes featured on all CN models allow two different sounds to be layered together, or for the entire keyboard to be split into two separate sections for duet performances.

The weight of the keyboard is appropriately graded to mirror the heavier bass hammers and lighter treble hammers of an acoustic piano, while structural reinforcements within the action assembly ensure greater stability during fortissimo and staccato passages. The new CN Series instruments also feature Kawai’s Ivory Touch key surfaces that gently absorb finger moisture to assist the player’s performance.

The new CN23 captures the beautiful sound of KAWAI’s highly acclaimed, hand-built concert grand piano, with all 88 keys of this exceptional instrument meticulously recorded, analysed, and faithfully reproduced using the very latest Progressive Harmonic Imaging™ technology.

This unique process accurately recreates the broad dynamic range of the original piano, offering even greater tonal detail than the existing Harmonic Imaging™ standard, while also providing the source for a selection of additional high-quality instrument sounds. Finally, reverb and damper effects are applied, delivering rich tones with breathtaking realism and stunning authenticity.


FEATURES

The convenient lesson feature allows aspiring pianists to learn the piano using a built-in collection of songs from the popular Alfred Basic course books. The left and right hand parts of each piece can be practiced separately, adjusting the tempo to perfect difficult passages, before being recorded and played back for self-evaluation.

An intuitive recording function is also featured as standard across the CN Series range, with the CN23 capable of storing up to 3 recorder songs in memory.
