Well known Oberon guitarist Scott Nunan has been playing the guitar for over 13 years and has just purchased a Takamine EAN16C, one of Takamine’s Supernatural series guitars, from Lander’s Music.

“I have always wanted a Takamine and when the time came around for a new electric acoustic I figured it’s the best value quality acoustic around.” Scott said in store recently. “I also own a Gibson Les Paul Studio and a LaGrange Steel Acoustic.” Quality is obviously very important to Scott.

The Supernatural series from Takamine is undoubtedly one of the finest guitars available. The solid Spruce top and solid Rosewood back and sides, combined with the Rosewood fingerboard, Abalone Rosette and Gold Plate and Amber Pearl tuners, has created a guitar that not only looks terrific but sounds fantastic.

The Cool Tube pre-amp is designed for ease of use and purity of tone. The CT4B consists of 3 bands of graphic EQ tone control, a volume control slider and a built-in chromatic tuner.

“The Cool Tube pre-amp really does warm up the tone without taking away the highs and the solid top/back/sides give it a rich sound unplugged.” Scott said. “But the handiest feature is the on-board tuner.”

Scott has been playing the guitar since he was in Year 8 at high school and went onto begin studying at the Lithgow School of Music, the Bathurst Conservatorium, Jack Pledge in Glenbrook and is now back at the conservatorium in Bathurst. Scott enjoys country, rock, blues and solo instrumentals and performs regularly at the Bathurst RSL.

Like most guitarists Scott has one or two other guitars he would like to own.

“One’s never enough, but maybe an early Martin D28.” Whatever Scott decides on in the future Lander’s Music will be here to help.
